DAYNIN J. DASHEFSKY, President & CEO

Daynin Dashefsky

Daynin Dashefsky, president, chief executive officer and founder of marketing and promotions firm GFI Associates, is an accomplished inventor and entrepreneur who has turned her creative ideas into breakthrough new products. Her product lines have been featured in catalogues and sold at elite boutiques, toy specialty stores, drugstores, membership warehouses and mass merchandise retailers worldwide. Having successfully brought her “2 Kids” and “2 Cool Fashion” storage care’rousels and No Fly Zone inventions to market, she has single handedly solicited and secured contracts for her products to be sold at Wal-Mart, FAO Schwartz, Sam’s Club, Zany Brainy, Toys-R-Us, Military Exchanges (AAFES), Watson’s Drug Stores (Hong Kong), Long’s Drug Stores and Framacia El’ Amal (Puerto Rico), in addition to being featured in Lillian Vernon catalogs. She is an inventor and entrepreneur whose administrative and marketing experience includes, but is not limited to, sales and marketing, shipping and logistics, contract negotiations, product and campaign management, commercial production, manufacturing oversight, product design and development, office management, launching and managing national TV campaigns, and other operational expertise. Her prior work experience demonstrates her ability to work in high-level/high-profile capacities, often under significant pressure. She possesses tremendous initiative and drive which provide the impetus for turning her creative ideas into breakthrough new products. Capitalizing on her experience in taking a concept to fruition and then launching that product to retailers and consumers, Daynin leads international seminars to teach inventor hopefuls how to utilize do-it-yourself materials from her Inventor’s Tool Kit. She also consults with inventors and entrepreneurs who desire her expertise and guidance to help them avoid the pitfalls she faced marketing her new products in a competitive marketplace. Her private clients include both established and up-and-coming entrepreneurs, small business owners, doctors, housewives, students, realtors, chiropractors and mortgage brokers, just to name a few.

Did you Know?

that "patent leather" got its name because the process of applying the polished black finish to leather was once patented?

that the first Apple computer was born in Steve Jobs' parents' garage? College students Jobs and his partner Steve Wozniak worked furiously in that garage assembling computers for fellow students and were totally unprepared for their first commercial order for 50 computers. To raise the needed $1300 for parts, Jobs sold his old VW bus and Wozniak sold his Hewlett Packard calculator. The next year - 1977 - Apple sales hit $800,000 and went on to become a Fortune 500 company in a record five years!

that Thomas Edison's patent application on his phonograph was approved by the Patent Office in just seven weeks? In contrast, it took Gordon Gould, the inventor of the laser, 30 years to obtain his patent - finally awarded in 1988!

that J.B. Dunlop, one inventor of the pneumatic tire, was a veterinary surgeon?

that the trademarked name "Baby Ruth" was inspired by President Grover Cleveland's daughter, Ruth, and not by Babe Ruth?
